These are custom interactions + some extras that are used to make custom Drinks, plus a script that adds the interactions to various bars in game. They were originally posted by icemunmun in this upload but we moved them over to the group account to be able to maintain them better.

This thread is currently maintained by icemunmun and ohmysims.

Please check only with this mod before reporting script errors.

Installation:

  • If you update from a icemunmun version, make sure you remove the old files( icemunmun_CustomDrinkScript.ts4script and Bar_CustomDrinks_Interaction.package )! They are renamed now, so will not overwrite automatically.
  • Make sure script mods are allowed in the game setting.
  • Unzip the zip and put BOTH .package and .ts4script files in your /Mods folder.
  • The ts4script file can go only one layer deep with folders by default. In other words, it should be either,
    Code:
    \Sims 4\Mods\mtsfoodgroup_drinks-custom-interactions.ts4script, or
    \Sims 4\Mods\Subfolder\mtsfoodgroup_drinks-custom-interactions.ts4script
    



Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: My game version is up to date, but the [xxx Custom Drinks] interaction still won't show up from bars/fridges.
A: Have you allowed script mods in the game setting?
A: Is your Custom Food Interaction also the latest version?
A: Are BOTH .package and .ts4script files installed?
A: Is your .ts4script in the right place? Please read the Installation section for detailed information.
A: Make sure you didn't accidentally install duplicated files in different folders.

Q2: All interactions show up in game, but when I click the interactions there is no drink or only certain drinks in the selection menu.
A: This post only provides the scripts that enable custom drinks to show up in game. You need to get the actual drinks meshes and their crafting recipes from other posts. Browse the #Custom Drink tag to get custom recipes.
A: Each recipe requires certain mixology level. If your sim doesn't have enough skill, some recipes won't appear!

Q3: Mod Conflict Detector says this mod conflicts with something. Should I be worried?
A: The Conflict Detector is an useful tool, but it can't be always right. Due to the way it detects conflicts, there are chances the tool lists an okay mod as broken or conflicted or corrupted. We'd say you don't have to be much worried about the error especially when the "conflicts" are between the mods by Foodgroup or its members. Some "conflicts " are even intended and we are fully aware of them.

Q4: Some drinks are stuck in inventory and I can't get rid of them.
A: This is a known EA issue, not something caused by custom drinks. To fix this glitch, you can simply reset your sim or have the sim travel to another lot.

Q5: The script isn't translated in my language. Can I still use the script?
A: Yes, you can. Localization doesn't have to do with how the script works. English menu will appear if the interaction menus haven't translated in your language yet.



Localisation: Chinese (wuccwzt), Dutch (ElenaInTheSims), Korean (ohmysims), Italian (InfinitiveSky), and Portuguese (Akin_).

  • If you want to contribute to another language, you can simply translate the texts above and leave a comment or attach a text file. Please DO NOT send us an STBL file extracted by s4pe any more. We have a couple of issues with directly importing string files, so would rather manually type them. Thank you!



How to Use:

This mod adds the following two interaction to the professional bars in game :

1. Make Custom Drinks



2. Buy Custom Drinks (The drink will be found in your inventory after buying.)




Miscellaneous

Compatibility:
  • Base Game Compatible, although certain EP/GP/SP/CC are required for the certain interactions to work.
  • Whether or not the recipes are available on custom stoves/fridges depends on what object tuning those are using ‒ if you find one where it doesnít work, post a link and we can add its ID to the script.
  • Should not conflict with any other mods as a script has been used. However the autonomous drink making function may not work properly with autonomy suppressing mods.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:
1. Download: Click the File tab to see the download link. Click the link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.
Read the upload description for installation instructions. If nothing else is specified, do the following:
No Extraction Required (Script Mods):
1. Cut and paste the .zip file(s) into your Mods folder
  • Windows XP: Documents and Settings\(Current User Account)\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\
  • Windows Vista/7/8/8.1: Users\(Current User Account)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\
Script mods need to be placed directly in \Mods or one level below that (e.g. \Mods\Scripts) Ė sub-folders nested any deeper wonít work.
Extraction Required (Everything Else):
1. Use WinRAR (Windows) to extract the .package file(s) from the .rar or .zip file(s).
2. Cut and paste the .package file(s) into your Mods folder

Since the pets do not interact with drinks, the individual drink recipes do not require an update . The pre exsisting recipes work with update of only this mod.

Ah thanks you so much! It seems the fashion career is also responsible for the LEs.

1) Do you have any LEs without any numbers at the end ?
2) Do you have Get to work ?

I am working on removing the autonomy and venue fridge tunings

1) No I deleted it at first and when I restored it they moved to the LEs with numbers. I removed the mod so I donít have the LEs anymore. I noticed the fashion career too. Thanks for confirming.

2) And yes I do have Get to Work

I used only this mod and could not reproduce the LEs. If you have time can you please check with only this mod ( script + interaction) without any other mods ? This will help me narrow down the issue as i cannot reproduce the LEs

So i got everything out of my mod folder except your mods. food and drink interactions and it seems to be working fine. There's no autonomous buy drink now

I have removed the autonomous custom drink buying since it was rather excessive and the sims were obsessed with it in my opinion. I may add the functionality back in a later update though!

Hi Ice munmun so here's the thing. I have this but I can only buy the drinks not make them. My sims mixology skill is at 10. I took a peek at the files for the custom drinks interaction and noticed the package hasn't been updated since 11/8/17 and the ts4 script since 1/30/17 please update these if they are the reasons why I can only buy and not make the custom drinks.

Hello, I came to you with a problem about the custom drink autonomy. I know it is disabled for home lots but what about venue lots like retail or restaurant. I just bought a retail shop with three fridges and the last exceptions are a lot. I would literally click the fridge and it would generate a last exception txt.

The package file was updated on 8th Nov ( Updated to function with the pets patch). The script did not require any update after the toddler patch ( which was in January). The current version is currently compatible with the latest patch. make sure the script is not more than one folder deep.

If you want to disable autonomy just go into the game options or to toggle more specific things use MCCC.

Some of the separate custom drinks have not been updated to the latest patch. That is most likely the issue here. Can you test with only This mod ( package and script) without any of the custom drinks ( my custom drinks are updated...you can use them) and any other mod +/- MCCC ?

From the last exception you pmed me, it appears that the error is due to a typo in tuning for strawberry harvestable ( mistakenly added an extra special character - <). This is was an issue with My Spooky Cookioes Mod - No harvestable version. This has been corrected in the latest update of the mod . This error is unrelated to the Custom drinks mod.
(The Custom Drinks mod injector is only showing up in the error because this mod injects into the load_data_into_class_instances function. Any exception that happens during that function will then include every single mod that does that in the traceback.)

yeah I did and it still came up with an error but now the error says root?

I have OhMySims's Canned Soda (http://modthesims.info/d/587820) which evokes continuous last exception files corresponding to this mod:

'sims4.tuning.instances.ohmysims:si_VenueFridge_BuyDrinkAutonomously'&gt; (AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'immediate')&#xD;

I'm not sure of it's this mod that is the problem, or the sodas themselves. The error corresponds to a tuning interaction in this mod, so I'm assuming there's a problem here. I know this is not my mod, so I have no bussiness digging around in it, I'm just a beginner modder and like to poke around trying to understand how things work.

Anyway, I'm removing the sodas for the time being, though I'd like to know what the problem is. I tried googling the error, and https://stackoverflow.com/questions...ack-still-works seemed useful, though I still don't really know what anything means :p

The last exception file produced thorugh MCC was just repeating blocks of the same error:
